Battlefield 3: Jet Tips

The jets are definitely the most difficult vehicles to manoeuvre and even harder to use effectively against the other team, here are some tips for you.

• Learn to fly, this is obviously necessary but you should be capable at flying and doing difficult moves without crashing. You won't be able to defeat any opposition if you just keep on dying from a collision with a wall.

• Teamwork, teamwork, teamwork! If there isn't anyone else, either in another jet or on the ground, helping in taking out enemy engineers, SOFLAM's, other air vehicles and other threats to your life. Without assistance, you will die very fast!

• Make the most of what upgrades you have. Beam scanning, for example, works great with AA missiles but is a complete waste of a slot when paired with rocket pods. You have to think about how the upgrades will affect each other to maximise effectiveness.

• Clear the skies before you take out ground targets. Enemy jets are hands down the biggest threat to you when you are in a jet. Simply get rid of them by any means, it doesn't matter if it isn't you who kills them. Only then will you successfully be able to destroy ground vehicles from the sky.

• When you attack ground targets, come in from a very high altitude and dive towards the target, unleashing as much of your ammo as possible before turning back upwards for another run or whatever else. When you watch top YouTube commentators it is the technique most of them will often use.

These are just a few tips that may help less capable pilots to earn some points and kills in the jet, I may post some more in the future, so check back on Top Gaming Tips or follow to keep updated on all of the useful tips that are posted on a regular basis.
