- Try to get the first shot, it will leave your opponent at a disadvantage before they can even see you.
- Aim for the back of their tank, this is the weakest part and each shot will do about triple damage of a shot to the front ( You can see more details in my post title Battlefield 3: Tank weak spots ).
- Do not get too close to their tank, chances are they have engineers and support close to them and will be able to destroy you very quickly. Also, they may not see where you are shooting from.
- Play as an engineer because if your tank gets damaged past 50% then it will be disabled and won't be able to manoeuvre properly. Engineers have repair tool that can get your tank back up to 100% after being disabled.
- Use vehicle upgrades, there are upgrades that can make you reload faster, block enemy missiles or spot enemies on the radar for your whole team to see. They will give you an instant benefit in combat and make it much easier to kill opposition
