Battlefield 3: Scout Helicopter Tips

The scout helicopter is a very effective anti infantry vehicle when put into the right hands but it can be hard to use at first. Here are some tips.

- Make sure that you can fly the helicopter without crashing, it is best to practice on the co-op mission with the attack helicopter as the controls are the same.

- Take cover behind obstacles such as trees and building when you are being locked on to or when you are damaged. It will break any locks the enemy may have on you and give you time to heal and get your flares back.

- Learn how to beat an enemy helicopter, when at a distance, lock on and fire missiles. When up close, use the main minigun, it will kill them almost instantly.

- Use flares at the right time, after the enemy has fired their rockets. Popping flares too early will let them lock onto you faster afterwards and kill you easily.

- Know your perks, some perks go much better with others. For example, guided missile works extremely well with the laser painter to lock onto air vehicles and not be affected by flares. ECM Jammer works well with stealth because you can use the ECM and then by the time they can lock on again you should nearly have the ECM back.

- Have engineers sitting in the side seats, they can repair you with repair tools and help you kill vehicles by using the guided missile launchers. The javelin works especially well when the pilot is using laser painter.

Good luck with your air warfare soldier!
