Battlefield 3: Jet Tips

Using jets is difficult in BF3 and it can be difficult to get to grips with it. I will be giving a few tips to make you better at jet combat.

1. Learn the controls, this is absolutely essential for getting kills and points in the jet. A lot of practice may be required for this as jets are difficult to control when you don't know how. A quick search on YouTube will give you a tutorial for jet piloting.

2. Brake when you turn, it will make your turning circle tighter so you can change direction quicker, this is extremely useful in dogfights to get behind to enemy.

3. Use flares at the right time, popping flares to early will result in an unnecessary death as they won't have fired their rockets and will be able to fire at you without having to reload. Do not use flares until their rockets have been launched.

4. Make the most of cover, if you are being locked onto, circle around a building or other obstacle. It will get you out of the line of sight of the enemy and will give you time to replenish your flares, heal or just get away.

5. Use perks that you are most comfortable with, I know that some people won't have unlocked many perks but you have to experiment to find which ones work best for you. You should always have flares, however . I also recommend Stealth as it increases the amount of time it takes to be locked onto, paired with flares it can make you very difficult to kill. Air radar is also good to use as it will let you know where all vehicles, friendly or enemy, are on the map

I hope these tips will help you get kills in jets and eventually get a service star. Good luck!
